Hello, and welcome. We are a small group who have come into communion with the Catholic Church through the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of the Southern Cross. Our Parish was established on 20th June 2013, and our parish priest, Fr Ken Clark, was ordained a Priest of God, in the Sale Cathedral, by Bp Christopher Prowse on the 19th October 2013.
A personal ordinariate is a canonical structure within the Catholic Church established in accordance with the apostolic constitution Anglicanorum Coetibus of 4 November 2009. . This canonical structure enables Anglicans to enter into full communion with the Pope, while maintaining some degree of corporate identity and autonomy with regard to the geographical dioceses for other Catholics of the Latin Church, and preserving elements of their distinctive Anglican spiritual and liturgical heritage.
