Profession of Faith

I am always amazed at the level of commitment of members of the Ordinariate, given that we are small in number.  While we are small in number, we are huge in faith and devotion.  The faith is not a numbers game, it is not about how many worship, it is about the faith of those who worship.  If Jesus worried about numbers then He would have watered down His teaching.  He did not do so, and neither can we.

The following is from the Decree of Erection of the Ordinariate of Our Lady of the Southern Cross, Item 3:

catechismThere is a to be program of catechetical formation for these faithful, lasting for a congruent time, and with content established by the Ordinary in agreement with the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith so that the faithful are able to adhere fully to the doctrinal content of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and therefore make their profession of faith

It would be wonderful if all Catholics had to do this before making their profession of faith; or even all priests.
